Nawaz was arrested in plane before reaching Pakistan Soil 

Ex-Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif and his daughter, Maryam, were arrested shortly after landing in Lahore. They face prison sentences of 10 and 7 years, respectively, on corruption charges.

Allegations on Nawaz 
On charges of corruption, money laundering, misuse of power and finally being a threat to national security he is convicted for 10 years and daughter 7 years. She forged 22 fake documents to deceive apex court.

So Nawaz Sharif wasn't allowed to meet his mother who was reportedly waiting at Lahore airport, he and Maryam have boarded a special aircraft which is taking them to Islamabad. Aircraft on runway presently.

Thousands rallied in the eastern city of Lahore, Sharif's political heartland, to welcome him and his daughter back to the country, braving roadblocks and riot police. Scores of PML-N workers were arrested in the run-up to Sharifs' arrival, the party said.

Mobile phone networks were also shut down in the city, with authorities saying the disruption was meant to counter the threat of remote-controlled bombs.
