CBI Raid Over 40 Places in Tamilnadu
CBI had registered a case in May following the order of Madras high court, which was later upheld by the apex court.

The gutkha scam happened when Jayalalithaa was Chief Minister. She handpicked TK Rajendran and S George as Commissioner of Police, Chennai. Vijaya Baskar was her Cabinet member. Then Chief Secretary Rama Mohana Rao says he had brought the scam to her notice. She sat on it.

Massive Raid
CBI launched a massive search operation in 40 places in Chennai in connection with Gutkha scam. Houses of TN DGP T K Rajendran at Mogappair , ex-DGP George near Maduravoyal, health minister Vijayabaskar & other police officers being searched from 7.30am.

In a state where a sitting chief secretary himself raided, DGP is no exception.

Big developments in Chennai in the Gutkascam. CBI raids taking place at Health minister, DGP and former Chennai police commissioner residence. This will make the position of the DGP untenable, just like it happened when the chief secretary home was raided in Dec 2016 immediately after the demise of former CM Jayalalitha.

40 Crore Bribe from One Gudoon
Madahava Rao a Gutkha Distributor maintaining tons of Gutkhas in his own gudon has given 40 Crore of bribe to former chennai Commisioner George to sell Gutkha all over tamilnadu without any hurdles.
Gudom is in Thriuvellur where the former ADMK Minister Involved in bribe to make a way for selling Gutkha.
