At Press Colony, Srinagar. The entire Press fraternity is in deep shock after the attack on Mr. Shujaat Bukhari. It is unbelievable that such a widely respected journalist has been attacked so mercilessly. Witnesses say his body is ridden with bullets as is his PSO's & driver's.
Tragic news from Kashmir. Editor of Rising Kashmir Shujaat Bukhari shot dead outside his office in Press Colony, Srinagar, Kashmir along with his PSO. We differed on many issues and spoke vocally. But this cowardly attack on press freedom is brutal. Shocked. Rest in Peace.
